Overview

Nestled in the heart of Petaling Jaya’s New Town, Rojak SS15 invites those who cherish authentic Malaysian flavors to a humble yet memorable dining experience. This cendol and rojak spot captures the essence of old-school hawker culture with its simple, no-frills setting that feels more like a local gathering place than a polished eatery.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the rojak—Indian-style, vibrant yet balanced in flavor. Fresh and thinly sliced vegetables such as sengkuang and cucumber provide a crisp, refreshing bite alongside crispy fritters that soak up a rich, slightly tangy sauce. Unlike overly sweet versions found in commercialized settings, the sauce here strikes a note of harmony, elevating each mouthful without overwhelming the palate.

Equally compelling is their cendol, described by many as a benchmark for freshness. The cendol noodles are a natural green, signaling quality and care, swimming in coconut milk that’s freshly made rather than tinned. The cendol balances sweetness with a subtle salty hint, a nod to the traditional recipes that make this dessert so beloved. The combination of the cool, creamy cendol with the hearty rojak offers a satisfying contrast, making it perfect for both locals and visitors seeking a genuine taste of Malaysian street food culture.

The shop itself is modest, occupying a simple space with minimal decor that puts the focus squarely on the food. Its faded signboard is a quiet emblem of its legacy, frequented by regulars who have enjoyed this spot for decades. This place is ideal for those who value authenticity over ambience, and for anyone looking to explore indigenous flavors away from flashy, tourist-centered restaurants.

In all, Rojak SS15 serves as a culinary time capsule that champions genuine taste and tradition. Its appeal lies in comfort, familiarity, and freshness, making it a must-visit for fans of rojak and cendol from all walks of life—whether you're a longtime local or a food traveler eager to dive deep into Malaysia’s rich street food heritage.

Original, simple, cheap and tasty. It’s not fancy, just an old-fashioned coffee shop. Cendol starts at $3.00, isn’t too sweet, uses fresh coconut milk - not out of a tin, cendol noodles are a natural green - not synthetic bright green and there’s a hint of saltiness, like there should be. Rojak is Indian style and starts at $6.50 - the sengkuang and cucumber are thinly sliced, the fritters are crispy, the sauce is rich and not overly sweet. We’ve been coming here over 20 years - to me it’s much better than anything from the shopping malls, the best I know of.

Great place to grab a bowl of cendol and a plate of rojak! Right in the middle of New Town or State (old timers love to name places after the nearest cinema... ) A big plate of Rojak & Cendol... makes my day! If you are looking for this restaurant, you have to look carefully for the faded signboard.... Only regulars don't have that problem! Recommended.

Really enjoyed the mamak rojak plus the cendol I had. Nice combination. The crispy bits were fantastic. It is in a normal shoplot with minimal decor.

Clean restaurant that specialises in rojak or pasembur depending on where you're from. The ingredients are fresh, fritters are crispy, and the vegetables are plentiful. Taste-wise, I think it's great! Not too sweet, not too salty.

Shop is clean and cooling. Not as some may say is dirty and untidy. People who are on the floor and behind the cendol and rojak making counter are friendly. Rojak taste is still one of the authentic taste that one can get in Petaling Jaya. Cendol is not too sweet nor too creamy, just right to quench the thirst on a hot weather. (Is not for those who calories sensitive ) **Disclaimer : Above review are on 2 personnel foodie reference who goes around looking for authentic tasting food** #cendol #rojak #rojakcendol #rojakpetalingjaya #cendolpetalingjaya #rojakmalaysia #cendolmalaysia

The rojak at this branch tastes a lot better than the one at Subang. Satisfying portion and the place looks clean. Perhaps the people in charge could still wear the mask properly for hygiene purposes. Parking is an issue and it is almost impossible to find a nearby car park. There is a multilevel car park situated just behind the shop but is a very run down and narrow car park. Be prepared to drive to the highest floor for an available parking lot.

Rojak SS15 in PJ new town is my favorite place to get my rojak and cendol fix. This humble shop serves up some of the best rojak and cendol around. The rojak here is simply satisfying — the peanut sauce is rich, thick, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet . Every bite gives you a delicious crunch from the fritters and a burst of flavor from the fresh sengkuang and vegetables. Don't miss out on their cendol either! It’s refreshing and indulgent at the same time. The gula melaka is fragrant and not overly sweet, blending beautifully with the creamy coconut milk and soft green cendol strands. It’s the perfect way to cool down on a hot day.
